Terms & Conditions of Group Language Courses

1. Basic terms
Jazykové centrum Correct, s.r.o., Jakubská 1, 602 00 Brno, ICO: 01463951, registered at the Company Register at the Regional Court in Brno, Section C, Insert 78206, (further referred to as: “Language Centre“) provides educational service within foreign language education. These conditions define legal relation between the Language Centre and a student of a group language course (further referred to as “Student“) in accordance with no. 89/2012 Act of the Civil Code, as amended.

2. Contractual relation
Contractual relation between the Student and the Language Centre arises at the moment the Student has sent a filled in application through which s/he enrols for the particular course or at the moment the Student has confirmed his/her enrollment through having written so in an e-mail sent to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and after s/he has received confirmation of the enrollment from the Language Centre. The Language Centre is also to confirm that the application filled in on the Interned has been received. In case the Student is for some reason not able to fill in the application on the Internet, s/he can come to the office of the Language Centre and enroll there, which also gives rise to the contractual relation. By sending the application, the Student confirms that the data s/he stated are true and that they are provided voluntarily.

3. Subject of the contractual relation
Subject of the contractual relation is a specific number of lessons in the given language (as specified in the application) with the venue provided by the Language Centre. The minimum number of students on the course is four, the maximum is eight. One study unit consists of two 45-minute lessons. The total duration of one study unit is 90 minutes (unless it is agreed on a different schedule). Textbooks are not included in the course fee and the Student pays for the textbook separately or buys it on his/her own. Lessons do not take place on Czech national holidays.

4. Reservation of the course, price and payment
After filling in the application in one of the above described ways, the Student's place on the course will be booked. The Student is obliged to pay 100 % of the price (further referred to as "Course Fee") seven days after sending the application at the latest. The day when the application was sent, counts as the first day. In case the Student is overdue with the Course Fee payment, the reservation is no longer valid and the place on the course can be offered to another person interested.

The Course Fee can be transferred to the bank account number 2700388973/2010 or it can be paid in cash in the office of the Language Centre. The payment instructions including the variable symbol will be sent to the Student’s email address after processing the application form. The day when the Language Centre’s account is credited with the given sum is considered the day of payment (not the day when the payment was ordered).

If the Student wants to make use of a voucher for the services of the Language Centre, s/he is obliged to inform the Language Centre in advance (preferably the Student states so and specifies the given voucher in the “note” when sending the application).

5. Foreign Language Library
The Student is allowed to borrow books and magazines from the Correct Language Centre Foreign Language Library for free after paying a deposit of 200 CZK for each book borrowed (this deposit will be returned as soon as the Student returns the given book).

6. Joining a course which has already started
The Student can get a discount for the course fee if s/he joins a course later than four weeks after the date the course started. The extent of the discount shall be determined by the Language Centre.

7. Absence at the Course
In case the Student is for any reason absent at the course, s/he has no right to the course fee return. In case the Student expects his/her absence (absence longer than 6 weeks) in advance, s/he has the right for a 20 % discount on the course fee. An expected absence is an absence, about which the Student informs the Language Centre before the beginning of the course.

8. Cancellation
The Student can withdraw from the contract in a written form (cancellation through e-mail to the address This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. is also considered a written form)
Shall the application be cancelled, the Language Centre charges the following cancellation fees:

- cancellation (after the course fee payment) more than 10 calendar days before the start of the course: 30 %,
- cancellation (after the course fee payment) less than 10 calendar days before the start of the course: 50 %,
- cancellation (after the course fee payment) after the start of the course: 100 %.

9. Replacement to a different course
The Language Centre will enable the Student’s replacement to a course which suits him better in terms of the level of his/her knowledge (out of the Student’s interest or following the tutor’s recommendation) if there is a free place in the more suitable course. Shall the Student ask for a replacement to a different course without a recommendation of the tutor, it will be done so if the Student sits for a written placement test and his/her knowledge proves to be more suitable for the different course s/he wants to join. In case of replacement to a course with a higher course fee, the Student is to pay the difference with regard to the number of lessons s/he will attend. In case of replacement to a course with a lower course fee, the Student has no right to get back the difference of the price.

10. Changes initiated by the Language Centre
The Language Centre reserves the right to change the tutor of the course and the right to cancel the course for serious reasons. In case of such cancellation, the Student has the right to be paid back a part of the course fee proportionally to the number of lesson which will not take place.
The tutor of the course has the right to cancel the study unit of lessons to be taught on the given day provided that no students occur within 20 minutes after the official start and provided that the Language Centre did not receive any notification of a late arrival from any of the students. Shall the lessons be cancelled for the tutor’s inability to teach or to be present, the Language Centre will provide as soon as possible an appropriate substitute.

10. Additional study materials
The Student is aware that any additional study materials provided by the Language Centre are subjects of intellectual property. The Student is committed to refrain from any conduct by which s/he would breach the right of intellectual property, especially by making copies of additional study materials.

11. Withdrawal from the Contract
The Language Centre reserves the right to withdraw from the contract (that is to cancel the course) in case there are fewer than 4 students enrolled for the course. The Language Centre reserves the right to withdraw from the contract with a Student who would disturb the course of the lessons or a Student who would endanger health or property of the tutor.

12. Satisfaction guarantee
Shall the Student feel dissatisfaction with the course based on breaching the conditions stated in the course offer and in the application form of the given course, s/he can withdraw from the contract with the right to be returned the course fee for the lessons s/he will not attend after announcing the dissatisfaction. Such dissatisfaction shall be announced in a written form (an e-mail to the address This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. is also considered a written form). Should the conditions defined by this document be breached by the Language Centre and should the breach be to be provable (for example a signature sheet as a prove of a higher number of students in the group), the Language Centre reserves the right to review the Student’s potential request for the course fee return and offer the Student a suitable alternative solution.

13. Changes of the conditions
Any possible changes of this document can be carried out only with the written approval of both parties (communication through e-mail is also considered a written form).

14. Personal Data Protection
The Language Centre processes personal data in accordance with the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).
